Have you tried to use WatirCraft with Cucumber 2? Did you see any problems?

I have not. Of course, the gem I have requires a specific version of cucumber. Since I will have to distribute a new gem to enable cucumber 2, just wondering if it was already in the plans.
I expect it is probably not -much- more than changing the gem spec.

You can test it out simply by installing the new version of cucumber on your system.
The watircraft gem installer does require that a specific version of cucumber be installed. But when you run your tests, the latest version of cucumber that is installed will be used. You can have multiple versions of cucumber (or any gem) installed.

I accidently did this simple test, and it didn't work. Cucumber 2 launches from the cmd line, and then I get an error that cucumber '1.16 can't be activated'

Saw same result as andrew. I was running cucumber manually from the command line.
would really like to be able to use newer version.

Several people have reported this problem, but I cannot reproduce it. Can you give me more details about what you did and what the error message was?

Researched several reports of similar problems with other gems. In each case the suggested solution was to uninstall the older gems. Please give this a try.
