generate steps from feature file output

Would be nice if script\generate steps would accept an optional feature file and then be able to generate steps based on the output from cucumber of the suggested steps.
Usage: script\generate steps file_name [optional: feature_file]

This is an interesting suggestion, but I'm not inclined to implement it. If someone would like to contribute an implementation, I will consider it.

We discussed this in the context of starting from scratch. But to provide this feature, we also need to think about what to do (1) when we change feature files, adding or changing steps and (2) considering what to do when some steps are already implemented.
This gets compicated quickly, and once we set up the expectation that this service will be automated, people will also need automatically updated step files, which is functionality that goes beyond what is supported by by the "script/generate" technology that we are using.
In other words, this is a can of worms. Therefore I don't plan on working on this feature. Thanks for the suggestion.
